Important Lake Murray Water Level Notice – Fall 2026 through Spring 2027

Please be aware that Dominion Energy has announced a planned lowering of Lake Murray's water levels beginning in September 2026 to help manage aquatic vegetation and maintain water quality.

What to Expect:

September–December 2026: Lake levels will gradually decrease.

December 2026–January 2027: The lake is expected to reach approximately 350 feet above sea level, about 8 feet below its normal summer level of 358 feet.

February–Late Spring 2027: Water levels are expected to gradually rise, returning to normal summer levels by late spring 2027, depending on rainfall and weather conditions.

Important Information for Guests:

During this period, lower water levels may affect swimming, boating, fishing, dock access, and other lake activities. Some shallow areas and coves may have limited water access, and portions of the lakebed may become visible.

We want all our guests to be aware of these temporary conditions before booking so they can plan accordingly.

Thank you for your understanding! We look forward to welcoming you and hope you enjoy your stay at beautiful Lake Murray!
